The Tirana International Film Festival is the most important cinematic event held in Albania and one of the most significant in the world. This is due to the thousands of films submitted each year, the discerning film selection, the rich program, the amazing discoveries, and the latest and most important premieres in the global film industry. The project's objectives are: To showcase new Albanian films and present retrospectives of the best Albanian cinema over the years, in comparison with European and international cinema. To establish artistic and institutional connections between guests from the global film industry and professionals in the field, such as filmmakers. To expand the Festival's audience by presenting the latest productions in both global and local independent cinema. To change the image of Albania, often portrayed by foreign media as a country associated with negative phenomena such as crime, drugs, smuggling, and prostitution.To promote emerging producers and directors to an international audience. To enhance cooperation among producers, directors, and distributors by building a sustainable regional network.
