National Typological Folklore Festival of Folk Ensembles.

The “National Typological Folklore Festival of Folk Ensembles,” Edition XIII, has a significant interest in Albanian instrumental folklore due to the fact that this genre truly represents the rich polyphony of our people. The ensemble of folk instruments is one of the oldest orchestral formations that has accompanied various regions of Albania during their family and civic celebrations. The cities with the earliest traditions in this type of formation include Përmet, Kolonje, Korça, Delvina, Berat, and Pogradec. Later, this tradition spread to Tepelena, Vlorë, Devoll, Myzeqe, and the Cham community within the country. With the realization of this festival, we aim to continue the tradition by uncovering artistic elements, talents, and new interpretations within this genre. The strong interest shown by the audience, combined with the high level of performing artists, guarantees an event that will have a significant impact on both the entertainment of the community and its education about the values of our national culture. It will also encourage competing artists for the future of this genre. This festival is competitive in nature, with winners receiving prizes and participants receiving certificates of participation.
