DESCRIPTION

By Faik KONICA Dramatized and adapted by Endri ÇELA "Zullulandia" has as its subject a very special event, presented in a satirical manner. The events and characters speak of Africa, but it is clear that, from the problems and concerns it deals with, it draws a parallel with Albania. The piece speaks of the Zulu, a backward people of Africa and oppressed by foreign colonizers, who, in order to gain freedom, send their representative, Ambassador Denizullu-Serpen to Paris. However, his ignorance makes the chancellors of Paris and London mock him. When he returns to his homeland, the ignorant and arrogant people welcome him with honors. However, amidst this ignorance, there is also a wise man, Plugu, who is the only one who has understood the mockery and shows them the reality; that foreigners are mocking the Zulu people. He advises them to stop expecting anything from foreigners, but to become their own masters. However, these words are not only not understood by the crowd, but also cause a revolt. They insult him, threaten him and are ready to punish him.
